Just though I'd post a few pics here following from the Dartmoor meet last weekend.
It's always a good laugh down Ivan's, the woods is right on the moors and very relaxing! The weather was at times too hot (!) but you can always rely on the fresh spring that flows through the camp to cool you down. The site is really well set up for those who want to socialise till late or head off and have some quiet time.
As you'll see, we had some of the best food prepared in the woods!
Minestrone with bruschetta and balsamic reduction.
Smoked pork shoulder, marinated Cajun style provided by Alastair.
Finished off in the Hangi oven, sliced and put into wraps with lettuce and coriander vinegarette.

Ivan & Alastair guided tour of the moor to Pupers Hill and Huntingdon Barrow. Great views and commentary from the guides. I'm sure some ona said something about a potato cave...
Saturday afternoon was spent relaxing in the sun, socialising. There was a sharps 'show and tell' provided by an attendee. Some really helpful advice given on maintaining an edge and how to sharpen an axe. Seeing the techniques and not just reading them is fantastic. Thanks to Big Al and Kard133!

My Vango Tempest 200. Great little tent and easy to put up in the dark on Friday night! We got there about 8pm and historically I've always pitched on a slope. Simply because I like to give my self the worst sleep possible... and I'm always late!
I think the tarp is a bit over kill on this one....
Top weekend made better with Michelin grade grub, campfire banter and amazing weather.
