Out at our usual Permissions Wood in Yorkshire, and when gathering wood, noticed this...

Is it likely to where Deer rest perhaps?

There are certainly 2/3 areas in the wood like that...

As the light was going, did't really have a good look! Will do next time!

You should be able to find some hairs rather easily.
Make sure you check yourself over for ticks after looking round a deer lay. I had a few on me last week when doing just the same thing.
