Hi all

Just wondering, as I don't have much in the way of skills or experience, would I be better off doing a weekend intro course somewhere, then coming along to a meet later in the year? I don't really want to be sitting around with nothing to do as I don't think there's anything I can do (yet).

Any advice appreciated.

I'd say come to a Meet...I attended my first with only basic camping skills and learnt loads.

Generally, lots of informal wokshops pop up on the Meets, with everyone welcome to dip into whatever they choose.

Go on, you know you want to!

No doubt about that. It's just that for most of my time in the MOB i've been thrown in the deep end and expected to crack on. I'd rather enjoy what i'm doing rather than worry that i'm going to blow everyone up due to my inexperience!

Saying that, i'm game for anything!

More the merrier mate! The 20 number was to make the cost of the marquee and activities doable.

See you there?

I'm sure you'd enjoy the Meets, they have a very relaxed approach.

Some folk just chill out, some run little workshops, whatever they like:cool:

About the only given "rule" is that noobies bring the beer for the organisor:beerchug: and have agood time around the campfire at night!

£5 per night is an awsom price, you cant even get a pizza for that price where I live.

Is this the Tent site (The one with no trees :camping: or is this the new site with trees :)

Sorry for all the questions, just dont fancy rocking up on the other side of the country with my Hammock and tarp, and have no trees
