Phew! I've been trying to get on here for a day or so now to see what the verdict was! I'd say a yay to Sunday then. So, the plan is to meet up at the RV point previously discussed in the thread, I have no idea of distances folk are travelling so I'll say a half eight to nine meet up unless that is too early?

See you in the morning then, you're looking for a big chap and a skinny bloke with a horrendous beard. I'm the one with the beard! I'm staying out tonight so will be offline from now on, so if nobody shows by about ten past 9, I'll set off. Hopefully the weather will be good for photos and a pleasant walk.

Well, that was a nice walk in light rain! I had a cheeky kip when I got home for half an hour or so, getting up early and then rambling around Wharncliffe can take it out of an old chap like myself! I was lucky enough to share the walk with The Ratbag and Addo, we had quite some fun lookinhg at different flowers, strange effects of limb dropping on trees and an indescribable amount of scat! Looking through my books, it seems we may have come across badger and fox scat, with a possible roe deer print too. So all in all, a pretty good walk.

As I said before, I'd like to do one of these walks in each season so that I can see the change it has on the land. So the next one will probably be at the tail end of summer, but if Matt Weir wants to contact me on a free weekend when he wants to go for a look about, I'll try to make time to take you and your family aropund Matt as I realise you wanted to go but had alreasdy committed yourself to the Lakes. hope you enjoyed it!

:D

No pics I'm afraid as it rained the whole day and I didn't really want to get my camera wet as I'm not sure if it is weatherproofed or not.

A bit too wet I'm afraid bernie, but you may get to see the brillo pad soon, I may be able to get down your way in a few weeks. If not, there's always the Summer Jam.

Gonna look at doing another one in a month or so. Over the next four weeks I'll be rather busy what with our eldests' confirmation and some little meet up in a wood down in south wales or some such! :D So I'll say four weeks time will hopefully see me free to get one more of these done. I may push it back to the autumn, but if the weather stays as it was today then I really would like to see Wharncliff in the sun for once this year! :D

Same as before, chuck your name down, start a list, and don't forget your preference for a saturday or sunday. Confirmation of date nearer the time.

Bloomin' 'eck, where have you been? Missed you about the place, hope all is well. Still not set a date on this one yet, this weekend is gonna be a night out methinks. The Midlands Meet is not for another month, so the next few weeks are gonna be OK to do another one. I let the folks here decide when to go unless work stops me, and they haven't asked me to work at weekends. When do you want to go?

Can`t do anything this weekend as I`m on call both days

Should be able to get out for a days walk any weekend, and a night out shouldn`t be a problem either.

I`ll have a look at some dates and get back to you soonest

I'll have to check when is free. This weekend I need off as I've been on call since Friday and I'm getting seriously knackered by now, and slightly grumpy to boot! I also need to sort out an impromptu get together for a few folks, would you be interested in a cheeky night out in the next few weeks?

I`ve just been on call for the last 9 days, all was going smoothly until a scheduled generator test on Saturday morning took a whole site down for 14 hours. The backup power only lasted an hour then we lost the whole network. Double time for 10 hours though so I`ll be thankful come payday.

I should be able to get a pass out for a night although I`m away in Scotland back end of next week. She needs a break from teaching so I`m dragging her up some big hills for a few days. I`ll be okay after that though I reckon.

Anywhere in mind ?

PM if you do
