I grew up chasing pike on the canal. Probably the most boring water in existence but I actually really miss it a lot! I’m impressed by that wild brown though, I’ve not seen one that big south of Scotland. As Chris says, keep that location to yourself.

Welcome to the April edition of the monthly fly tying club for all members of BcUK. The idea is that each month we will come up with a different fly pattern. Then, people can have a go at tying their own interpretations and post their results here. Hopefully this will spark some discussion and...

Grannom is a great idea. Usually the first dry fly of the year for me, but I’ve never tied one. Anyone have any objections??

We got it initially for the packages, next day is pretty handy when we need something quickly. The nearest shops are a drive away and even then there’s not much other than supermarkets. The video is just a bonus for us, although I do subscribe to extra things sometimes depending what’s available.

Yeah I’d agree with the above… If you get something like a bell tent you can easily get some fairy lights and make it all cosy like, a lot of ladies like that. :-)

Not a problem. I totally get what you mean regarding anvils! I’ve wanted one for a while but never at a good price, the old piece of rail I have will have to do for now… I’ve no idea about the cost of an induction forge, but they seem like the in thing on YouTube at the minute so I was just...

@Broch Just on the back of TeeDee’s post, I’m surprised you haven’t got an induction forge, be interested to hear your thoughts on those?
