    Changing the order posts appear

My apologies if the answer to this is obvious....but I can't remember where to locate the option to choose how threads are displayed, i.e. Latest post at the top of a thread or the oldest at the top. Perhaps someone could remind me. TIA

A Very Special day for a veteran Scout Leader

This video was made by Pablo yesterday showing a pretty special fella help a very special Scout Leader to fulfil an ambition. It's left me almost lost for words to see the smile of the old chap's face.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0VB18iX76E&feature=colike

I can't comment in the Blog section.....

.....I've not been able to do this from day 1. I haven't tried in ages and thought that I'd try again now that log-in and changing password problems are resolved. The Blog interface tells me I have to register and log in to comment even though I am.....Thought I'd post this in case anyone else...

Blank screen for Change of Password

S o r r y if I'm repeating this but you did ask us to list things in a separate thread to help tracking. Having been given an automatic password when I had some login problems a couple of weeks ago I've been unable to change it to one of my own choice as the relevant screen in User CP is just...

    What flower....?

Perhaps, British Red, Jon Pickett or one of the other good plant experts on the forum could give me a clue as to the identity of this plant. I've seen it for a number of years growing in a conifer wood and flowering in late April. I've searched various reference books and failed to I/D...

    Winter Baselayer

I've been looking around for a winter baselayer to wear under a Swanni and settled on a Swedish Army version having looked at one and talked to Johan at the Wilderness Gathering. Plenty of flexibility with the way the neck opening is made - can be worn high or rolled down, open or zipped up...

    Catching with home-made fish hooks

Just been reading a related thread and viewing the pictures on it so thought I'd start a separate one. Some of the home made hooks are beautiful creations and the whole subject fascinates me. What intrigues me most however is have you, or has anyone you know, managed to catch with one of...

    Blade width - 3mm or 4mm - what's your preference?

I was shaving feather sticks at the weekend and trying out different blades. I was OK (eventually) with 3mm scandi blades (Bison, Lapplander, Pukko) but was better with a 4mm+ blade (F1) convex. Overall I find the 3mm blades more "nimble" but there are times when the heavier 4mm blade really...

    Knife projects

It's taken me nearly as long to learn photobucket as complete my knives...with apologies for the poor picture quality - camera upgrade next. Big thanks to Neil1, Leon-1 and RB for advice, ideas and inspiration and to RB for sending the rivets. The Lapplander and F1 will accompany me to Sweden...

    " Today's Active Threads "

Before the "Big Crash" in March I'm sure I was able to view "Today's Active Threads" on one of the drop down menus and I found this a really useful way to keep up with what subjects people were posting about. I notice this facility also exists on British Blades. I appreciate you're all very...

    Wilderness Gathering 2004 - photos

I've uploaded some photos in the gallery taken at last years Wilderness Gathering. A bit late, I know, but I only solved my upload problem not long ago and I'd forgotten about them. Look out for one of a famous Moderator showing a side you've never seen before !

Bahco Folding Saw - Replacement Blades

I use a Bahco folding saw which I bought as a pruning saw. It appears to be identical (although black/orange rather than black/green in colour) to the Laplander saw which I've noticed on some Bushcraft websites. Does anyone know of a supplier of replacement blades please?

    Swedish Army Mess Kit

My kit arrived today from Surplus and Adventure so I had to christen it with a tin of tomato soup on my back yard (saddo) - very impressed. It looks versatile in that it could be used with an open fire as well as its burner unit and the capacity of main container and lid are both good. Two...
