    Hi thanks for the kind words guys. Only just discovered this thread while googling my name. The blade in question is actualy 4mm thick with a tapered tang.

    You can get the povidone Iodine from most chemists, they will need to order it in for you. I got my last lot from Sainsbury's pharmacy just under £5 for 500ml. It used to be under the brand name of Betadine but is now only available from Videne it's the antiseptic solution you want.

    Thanks guys much appreciated. I think you must have seen Mikes catapult as Andrew wasn't there. Mike was standing in for me at last minutes notice as I had had to attend a c section of our twin baby girls who came a little earlier than we expected!

    What do you guys think of these? Made from 12mm Tufnol with a snake skin cammo job. Double theraband gold tapered from 25mm to 15mm and tuned for users draw length, lightweight leather pouch. This one has an asymmetric frame for a more ergonomic fit.
