We were ripping up some fence over the forest (it is part of my job, i'm not into wanton vandalism :D ) and i stumbled across this ginormous birch polypore! It measures 37cm across, anyone found anything bigger?

I started working at Hainault Forest a few months ago and have been taking photos of some of the Fungi i have found there! I've managed to id a fair few of them and even eat a couple of them (There is nothing better than grabbing a couple of eggs from the farm, picking some nettles and...

Although i would prefer a positive id :) It is growing out of a stump i use for chopping wood against (species unknown). If that's any help!

I went to Debden, Essex a few days ago and discovered that i could use the roof rails on mine and my friends car i could get my hammock and basha set up with the added bonus of suspension! Sorry about the blurry image but my phone doesn't have the best camera on it!

Hey all, I've just started to make some nettle beer using the recipe on the skills part of the site. I was just wondering what the final product should look like, currently it resembles ginger beer in colour. Also how long should it be left to ferment for? Thanks Richie :confused:
