    Karrimor Sabre 45 color swap

Hello brothers, Ive got my Karrimor in black version as that was the only one discounted on last sports direct clearance. If anyone is interested, I would be glad to swap it for olive green version. My backpack is in off-the-shelf state, didn't yet use it, and I expect to possible swap to be...

Gumotex Palava Inflatable Canoe (Not a Kayak!) Rannoch to Dunkeld

Im also thinking about a boat for myself, as I live very close to the sea and few rivers. After some research, if I would buy inflatable, it would definitely be gumotex, probably the one You linked. But despite to my location and price issues, I will probably buy a stiff canoe, not inflatable one.

Up to date opinions on Helle's quality control

Well currently I'm waiting for my custom knife much based on Helle Gaupe, so I won't buy any right now, but Helle is still my favorite-by-looks brand along with Karesuando, so any opinions are welcome. Especially from people that bought a Helle knife in last 3 months.

Up to date opinions on Helle's quality control

Hello guys, I immediately fell in love with Helle knives - handmade, great steel, and beautiful traditional wooden handles. Knifes are quite affordable too. People are usually very satisfied in reviews (some point out that they broke Helle knife while batoning but why would You do that with...

Quick question to LK35 and Snugpak users

Hello, quick question on behalf of unregistered friend: When You put Snugpak's navigator sleeping bag, all weather tarp and self inflating mat into main compartment, how much place there will be left? Mainly for food and water (approximate answer in remaining liters would be nice) Thank You :)

Beginners kit list - correction request

Found it! https://eur.heinnie.com/uco-original-candle-lantern Exactly what I was looking for. Great middle point between oil lantern and flashlight. Can also be used to easily carry fire to another place if theres a need for it. Will have to ship it internationally which I hate to do, but...

Western reserve can be translated as "Bird's Paradise". Due to some special conditions (Im not a specialist in terminology to be honest) there are rare water and mud bird species stopping there during migrations. Over 200 species to be seen. Eastern one is called "Seagull's Sandbank". Its the...

Both rivers are running at rather slow pace usually. Additionally, there is a refinery rather close, but I'm 100% positive that filtering the water through coal filter and boiling it will make it potable. Unfortunately, I won't get any wildlife food in this location. Baltic Sea is technically...

I already have some basics on that kind of navigation. A compass is all I need there, especially Ive been there few times. Yes, the island is very close to Gdynia. Sobieszewo Island to be exact.

Wow I never knew that to be honest... Always thought UK is bigger. However, what I meant by tiny is - standing anywhere on this island, You will go no further than maximum of 2-3 hours of hike until You stumble on some man made structure or water source leading to it, so its impossible to get...

Beginners kit list - correction request

Just 35 square kilometers. It is connected to sea from the north, and surrounded by river from remaining directions. There is a bridge in south-west and ferry in the north-east corner. There is a small village next to the bridge and a road going between bridge and ferry. Also a small nature...

After some discussions Ive decided to drop all the "in case of" stuff. Maybe some day, but on the island ill be starting out even a child would survive with just a knife. Lets update the list. I wanted to highlight that stuff I chose is best I could find for me through reading reviews and...

Beginners kit list - correction request

At the beginning I will go by bus and then reach the destination on foot. There is an island close to me, not very remote but apart of summer very few people go there. It is good place for gathering experience, cause if I would have an accident I can walk in any direction for few hours (even...

Thanks for the replies. So torches are the one and only way of getting light for some possible night camp working? I know storm lantern may not be as handy as a torch but I really wanted to use that instead of electrical stuff. Maybe there are some more expensive lanterns that will pass the test...

    Simple backpack for minimum kit

Thats great, please write a short note in this thread or my inbox how it worked out in the wilderness. After I complete my minimum kit, DD Bergen will probably be my 1st thing to buy. I just can't stress enough how i love the rectangular design of one huge pack and two smaller on the sides. Fits...

    Hello from polish coast

Im from 3city. Never beed in Złockie area, but its in Beskidy so You will have great time. Thats the most wild and charming area in Poland, best of the best for bush crafting in my humble opinion. As I said before - Yes, in the state's forest You can't even pick deadwood legally. There...

    Hello from polish coast

Indeed, We have some beautiful places to explore, nature did a good job here. Unfortunately our government didn't. Law in Poland is the worst You can imagine for bush crafting. 78% of forests belong to the state, and in those forests You can't legally do absolutely NOTHING. I don't even mean...

    Simple backpack for minimum kit

I found out there are 2 Sportdirect shops in my city. Ill ride to them ASAP and see if the Sabre 45's are available there. I highly doubt it, but shipping from UK costs 44 zloties, so its a fair price. Also, a curio about DD Bergen - the only reviews I could find were from pre-2015. The packs...
