Wild camping tent and wild camping

Honestly sounds like a bad idea tbh. I can understand the appeal when money is tight, and perhaps the romantic notion of such a life, but, living like this is far from romantic; a few days camping is one thing, but long term will bring you into contact with some very nasty people, who will see...

    Down sleeping bag?

Best to try some out and see which you find most comfortable, thats the only thing which is important really; for uk winters

    Condensation using tarp

The best way i've found is to ensure a fire keeps the inside warm at all times, i use the lean-to type setup for most nights in the cold, with a bit extra length dropping down at the top to help keep a nice pocket of warm air inside, and a long burning fire (fire proofed your kit recently?)...

    Bushcraft knife recommendation

Got a TBS boar (stainless high carbon blade) kit a few months ago, its cuts beautifully, and the blade gets truly razor sharp, on par with my 01 carbon blade easily, and wears allot slower than both my other blades, 01 and stainless (something, dont remember) not a hard build either (was my...

    GIANT bikes?!

Lots of stuff is made in china these days, what is important is that quality control and design are done by a reputable company from a country with high standards; for eg buying uk designed and QC'd, but chinese made, can be far higher quality than chinese designed and made No clue what good...

Simple drawing software for making DWG files

you can use the Adobe DWG to DXF convertor, and use a gnu program like InkScape to edit; or design in InkScape then convert to DWG (if its a one off project, download the demo version of auto CAD)

    DIY Archery stuff

They look interesting those bows, fun to shoot with? My next project will be to build a laminated long bow (from kit) and then have a go making one from scratch next spring

    Leasing land for bushcraft

Is it really more of an insurance problem having people camping as opposed to shooting? Seems strange if true

    Walkie Talkies

Pm446's are all thats needed really, no real benefit in terms of distance; fun as it is listening into the ISS space station occasionally :) All pm446's run on the same channels/freqs, so you dont even have to buy matching models

    Walkie Talkies

The best baofeng at the moment is the BF-F8+.... i wouldnt call it easy to use, but despite common belief, they dont need to be programmed via computer. Bare in mind that they (all baofeng models) are *Completely* illegal to use on PM446 channels because they are over powered. (5W compared to...

UK (specifically Northern Ireland) hunting laws for small game (rabbit)

Is there actually such a thing as "public land" anywhere in the UK now? (as in owned by public authority and not privately, not the same thing as common land, which is usually still private...)

    blade sharpened with extra bevel

That would have been my next step, but pointing out their liability did the trick It arrived back today, finally. Still isnt perfectly flat grind as it was when i brought it in, but now its only the top inch, which i can live with, the main part i use for paper thin shavings is flat. Its...
