    foraging in Ukraine/Romania

Hi all, Does anyone have any information on foraging in the Ukraine/Moldova/Romania? Google is not my friend in this instance! All I can find is stuff about fungi and I want to steer clear of that as I'm not really confident with identification. Is there a lot of the species you'd find in...

    Boot Liners Vs Waterproof Socks?

I use the sealskinz ones but only once my boots are wet through. I put dry socks on then the goretex ones until my boots are reasonably dry again. I can't stand having hot feet for too long!

I just did that on an old pair of surplus trousers, I also cut off the bottom 10" of the legs and ran a length of stitching across the bit I'd cut creating a couple of drawstring bags :)

    Jungle boots

The British military ones are great, I didn't need to adjust sizing, worn with thin merino socks, didn't suffer any rub. Boots never dry in the jungle they just get less wet! Talc 2 or 3 times a day will stop your feet falling to bits! They're very flexible with good open tread.
