    National Trust Pilot Scheme

The Lake District is a huge area.. surely they won't manage it due to sheer impracticality? I notice they don't suggest how it might be enforced. I don't see that it is their place to ensure appropriate insurance and risk management of events organised by other people - it'd be different if...

The 'I've found a bargain' thread

And there I was about to buy 500ml of meths from B&Q for ~£4, when there's a B&M next door! Thank you Bishop. Millets have a 15% off code at the moment, plus some good clearance deals on plenty of random things. I just got a long sleeved nosilife top for £10.20 after the various discounts, but...

    What did you buy today?

Various things, including a nosilife long sleeved T-Shirt that I want to try, plus smidge as a backup. Bugs tend to find me tasty, and I react quite badly to bites. Has anyone tried the nosilife clothes?

Survival is all about a good cup of tea

Brilliant thread :) I almost always carry tea making equipment with me anyway and as has been said, it is universally welcomed instead of being dismissed. Do the coffee drinkers ever take non instant coffee? I can't stand instant coffee, but real coffee seems to need more stuff carrying than...
