    Any advice on Archery

Another vote for finding a club here. They'll teach form, let you try kit, and help when you end up buying too many toys. I started with recurve, mostly shoot compound now, but got a longbow for fun earlier this year :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Archery arm bracer

Wish I could take credit for the design, but it's something I found on t'Internets. It's Mjölnir and Yggdrasil, I think it was a tattoo design originally. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Archery arm bracer

I picked up a new old long bow that one of the old guys had donated to my archery club last week, and figured I needed something a bit more traditional than the plastic guard I use when shooting recurve. Not sure how it will hold up, but pretty pleased with how this turned out. I think I...

    Ridgeline Ranger trousers

Thanks. What particularly appeals to me is the waterproof knees, but not sure if they're worth it to me. Even at that price it's still rather steep, though I'm sure they're good quality. I normally use Craghopper kiwis, bought whenever they're on sale. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Foraging pouch

This was the one I made last year before blackberry season, came in very handy. http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=141513 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Snowdon Horseshoe safe weather conditions? (first time scrambling)

I did Crib Goch for the first time a few months back, but not my first scramble and with someone who had done it before. We caught up with a poor lad who had come with a party; he was terrified of heights and all bar one other lad had buggered off and left them. We ended up staying with them...

    Dump pouch

Thanks everyone, and thanks DB, that's a good tip. One for mark 2 :) Turns out the waxed cotton wasn't quite as resistant as I'd hoped; I've now got a pair of shorts with a purple stain from the blackberries where it was bouncing on my hip :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Folding or Wood gas stoves? Preference??

I've got one of those too. Only thing I don't like are the pieces to make the pot stand; makes it much harder to add fuel. For my small billy that won't sit on top I tend to just suspend it, the same as for an open fire.

    Dump pouch

Thanks. Done a couple of different stamps now, the principle is the same as using metal. For this, I used this model, printed as a solid object: www.thingiverse.com/thing:90131 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Dump pouch

Finally got around to making a dump pouch in preparation for collecting the blackberries and elderberries over the next few weeks. 2.5mm veg tan leather, waxed cotton, and a 3D-printed Cthulhu stamp. Pretty pleased with this, have to see how it holds up in use. Also managed to collect a...

    anyone playing 5th Edition D&D?

I'll take a look, thanks. The nice thing about Descent is the app which allows coop/solo play, for when I want to slay some monsters (or more likely be slain) and no one's available. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    anyone playing 5th Edition D&D?

I always wanted to play D&D, but never had anyone to play with. Did some warhammer as a lad. Recently got into board games instead. One I'm really enjoying is Descent, Journeys in the Dark. A bit like Hero Quest, it's a dungeon crawl, coop or hero vs DM, and there are things to paint too :)...

    Compund bow help

It depends on the bow if you need a press, and whether you're changing draw length or weight. Mine needs a press for draw length, but not draw weight. One of the guys at my club has to change the cams to change the length, but most of the others can change their lengths with just an allen key...

Advice while looking for a respectable hat

One more for the tarp hat. Silicon spray and it's waterproof too.

    Alone

The fact that they're still using Flash for video these days is pretty surprising too.
