Hi there! My partner and I are taking a little time to travel around France working here and there and generally doing the back to nature thing wherever we can. So far it's absolutely fantastic, being able to go foraging and return with baskets full of amazing edibles for barely any effort is...

Here's what I've been up to while I've been away....

Not the usual thing to see on here but it certainly counts as a traditional craft! For the last couple of years I've been building homegrown instruments and I thought I'd share a few of my builds with you. Unfortunately the laptop which has the pictures of my latest builds is completely broken...

Shakuhachi a Bamboo Flute for Meditation

anybody who finds the technique of these flutes difficult should try native american flutes, like playing a recorder but sounds better! very rewarding to make as well, anybody with minimal tool skills can make one, elderberry trees can be used to make very simple ones as well.

    Weird crane flies.

i think its to do with a lack of natural predators, as we all know a few common and not so common garden birds are on the rapid decline, birds that usually feed on insects, the bigger and slower flying the better! of course i could be wrong, nature is in a constant state of flux which is...

My neigbour is a grade 2 reiki healer looking to complete her masters next year. I studied martial arts from a very early age, bushido to be exact, roughly translated "the way of the warrior" much of this practise has nothing to do with fighting, it is self control, meditating and learning to...
