Hi
I know its a long shot but does anyone or has anyone on here ever attended Plumpton College in East Sussex. They run Bushcraft and other Outdoor courses which can last for 10 weeks plus over the course of a year.

They have quite a wide range of Courses not just...
I went on it last year nice little course specially if you havent bought your sharps already as theres a wide range that you can try out and see which one fits best. You get given a mora clipper, spoon knife (I think it says crook knife but theres no straight section on the blade) and a small...
It was a Good show I know people would like it to be more UK based but theres only so many shows you could do before you started repeating yourelf. So its nice to have a break every now and then for a while so you dont get bored. The thing I like with Ray is that its not just going from A to B...
Great product cheap and durable. The most natural way to sleep for me theres nothing like waking up and being able to see all around you. When I ordered mine I remember there being 2 models and if there still the same buy the travel hammock because it has a mosquito net sewn in. This cuts down...
If you wish to introduce bushcraft to the younge I would consider the Duke of Edinburgh awards scheme. They would teach you what you need to know about leadership of partys and would probably pay for it as long as you help with courses. They would also cover your insurance however I do not know...

I orderd some knives from a shop called Kniv-Per http://www.thegoodstuffshop.dk/group.asp?group=3116&sub=940 and they came within 2 weeks which isnt bad for the most standard post from Denmark to the UK. They sell...
I know you said you made it to small but I made mine to fit nicely straight away and over a small ammount of time its lossened so im sure it'll ease up after a while. Better a tight fit that a loose one anyway. Always cut bigger if your unsure I think you can always trim a little bit off rather...
Here are my first 2 attempts at making my own Bushcraft knives the blades were from Kniv-per. They took 3 days to finish and then a couple of coats of linseed oil over the course of a week to finish. The sheath took another 2 days to stich and dye. The pins are made from Red deer antler made...
Yes try not to get sweaty hands on it so you dont oil it accidentally. Ive used water to raise the grain on oak and hickory handles however rather that use sandpaper I would recommend a razor blade it may sound dangerous but if you keep it at 90 degrees to the handle it removes the grain a lot...
