Hi All,
Been enjoying whittling these past few months and done a bit of axe carving throughout the summer but I really fancy having a go at a Kuksa.
The problem I have is that I know 3 tree surgeons who have all promised me they'll provide me with some nice bits of wood for carving but it...
Hi Guys,
This one's got a bit of a story behind it so please humour me while I bore you.
The story is about 3 years ago I lent my father my Saddleback Side Pocket Duffel Bag (Linky for those interested) for a 6 month business trip to Asia.
After a few weeks he called me to say he...
Thank you Forestwalker, all of those are excellent prices but I can't find any of them that ship to the UK.
I shall email them and see if they can help.

Hi all,
Been keeping an eye out for one of these for about 5 months now but no luck.
I really want to add one to my vehicle kit before Winter this year to replace my current Snow Shovel and Entrenching tool (Why carry 2 items when one will do eh?)
Anyone got one they'd part with, or...
Good little pans those you've found. Made by the Chinese "Fire Maple" brand.

I have had many, MANY, straight...
I'm a big fan of the billhook.
A couple of years ago I had a bit of hedge that needed sorting. Tried chainsaws and machetes but after many local people suggested a billhook (even a few on here I think) I got a Fiskars one and it got through the lot and made collecting and disposing of it...
I have bought a few bits off these guys over the past few months: http://www.hunterscampingandbushcraft.co.uk/
Mainly because they are local(ish) to me and I prefer to buy local than on eBay but they have a decent enough selection compared to some, especially on the paracord.
Macaroon,
I think you may very well be right. No doubt there's a valid reason I could never find a bag that I was after and I've just found it.
It's annoying because, apart from the straps being too thin and the wobbly top, I rather like it. OK it doesn't look as good as a commercial model...
Hi Guys,
Hope there's someone here who can help.
I recently made a bag.
I do quite a lot of traveling for work and needed a decent stand up to the test of time leather bag which I can dump all my stuff in, chuck in the back of the car and check in at the airport whatever without...
