    Needing to build a new septic tank I found a skip being loaded by a local builder renavating a house, full of house bricks, I wonder if he ever found out why it never got full, no matter have many bricks he tipped into it.

    I will try and get some pic. up. I think you are right about the water, after a couple of weeks of sunshine and heavy rain, they are starting to grow... Had a good look at them last night. Seeing that I planted them all at the same time, some are now 8 feet high while others are only 1 to 2...

    Bigbear, I have a 38KW wood burning boiler, try keeping that filled with wood. It will burn more or less any thing.

    Trying to gorw a living fence (willow)

    I planted over a 1000 18 months ago from 8" sticks pushed into the ground early March they where watered well if it did not rain. We have them from 5 to 6 feet high in parts, to only 10 to 12" in other parts. What am I doing wrong?

    Try taking a group of scouts into the woods, the first thing they want to do is light a fire, I love it as I sit there for a couple of hours just watching, as they try and out do each other. Most times they will light one,, the look on there face when they do...
