An SAS type "E&E / Ration Pouch" works perfectly for this or even a larger style Possibles Pouch with extended belt loops perhaps.

    1hr Fire steel fix!!

That's great work mate! But I still question the logic behind risking a vital piece of kit such as a Firelighting Steel to wet weather, loss, damage, corrosion etc by leaving it nakedly exposed on a knife sheath? My steels go in my pocket, a pouch or around my neck on a lanyard.

Carcajou!! You said exactly what I was trying to say!! Maybe I come up a little short in the articulation department here!! :lmao: But for me the message is there is a time when you need to stop "practicing" bushcraft, stop idolising "gurus" of bushcraft and stop acumulating vast...

    Best Deer Rifles

My all time favorite 30 cal Bushcraft Rifle is my Winchester 30/30 fitted out with a synthetic stock set and AO Ghost Ring Sights. Man I love to take off into the bush chasing goats, pigs and the odd Fallow Deer with that all time classic! It really does have a frontiersman type feel to it...

Samick Mind 50 is a good one, I know bowhunting is illegal in the UK but if you want something that is traditional, simple, has got some punch for effective hunting, then this model is a good one. There is an awesome forum in Australia which is a really good mix of genuine bushcraft...

    Carry laws in Australia???

There is mostly no restriction on blade lengths with anything, you can carry anything, anywhere as long as you've got a legitimate reason for doing so. Locking Folders are legal, switchblades, gravity knives, balisong / butterfly knives are not. In the bush, folders on belts are acceptable...
