Hi folks.... :)
Although I set up the Dorset Bushcrafters community group, I have failed to be a little more active on the site due to my work commitments. (he bows his head in shame!!!).
If you join the group, I did try to get some pub meets going initially but came under the usual 'id like it...
I'm really enjoying the thread actually as I've just started to collect pipes... Mainly estate pipes as they look and feel a little more 'worn-in'. I don't smoke myself (yet!) but might want to try an aromatic at some point!
judging from what I've picked up here, Peterson's seems to be a...
Hope this works... Here are a few of the axe heads re hafted into their new handles. Started with the Kubben then honed with draw knife and carving chisels... :)
Enjoy...

I can directly relate to that post Lister. I was behind a retired lady reaching her later years, she presented all her items to the till operator but held back a packet of biscuits and a few other non essentials. Her reasoning being she had little of her weekly monies left and what she had...
Sorry to read this post Dave... Having seen you and your knives at the Ancient Technology Centre :viking: I know how special they are. I will keep my eyes peeled for this knife and hope the stupid scroat that took it takes everyone's advice (and yours) returning it to you. If they don't...
As seen in the tutorial, quenching in old motor oil will help deterioration. However, you will still find they will tarnish/rust. Keep the blade rubbed down with a light coat of oil (or wrap in an oily rag).
