The End of Internet Knife Sales. Law change could target one-hand opening folders

As someone who dabbles in law enforcement, I often feel the need to clarify some of the beliefs about being caught in possession of a bladed article. Chris rightly states our powers have not changed in relation to section 1 PACE (power to stop+search). I can confirm: 1) if you’re in a rural...

Too charitable as always! Dave you should certainly offer this specific course as standard. I know you prefer forging, but there's a lot to be said for stock removal, and it's more accessible for people. Another thing which I may not have mentioned, the time and money saved by a beginner...

Too kind ! I'll perhaps do closeup shots in about 15 years when I've honed the craft a bit... close ups now would betray my beltgrinder skills. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando Tapatalk

Thanks Janne- there's a reason I've chosen the softly focused wide shot! Up close it's quite clear who's the apprentice in this case. The turquoise was ground quartz (I think?), which we mixed up in epoxy and then fed down the pins prior to sanding. Once set it sanded off clear. V nice effect...

Dave Budd knife course - review

For many years now, I've been threatening to learn how to make a knife. Finally moving back to South Wales in May, into a house with a basement -soon to be workshop - the time was nigh. It was either now or never. So permission was granted by Household Government sometime back in June ("Why do...

In the mountains of Wales, and being stored in a plastic container, is there anything specific I should be careful of? I'm going to invest in a millbank, also happy to do water filter project! Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando Tapatalk

Thanks all. That's great. Is there anything in particular to worry about regarding drinking (boiled) rainwater from a water butt? Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando Tapatalk

That is a good idea. The roof is done so well with timber it would be a shame to cover over. Might be a problem to persuade family. But it means its v cold in winter. We're by the Black Mountains by the Beacons, so nothing dramatic, but it can easily get to -7/-8 in places. Certainly nippy...

    Cabin in the woods

Hi everyone So I'm lucky enough that as a family we've a small piece of woodland in Wales where we've brought in a shepherds hut. As you can imagine we spend a lot of time here, and have done for the last ten years or so. The hut has been improved on over the years and boasts a solar panel...
