modified esbit stove - my way!

it was bound to happen: the very versatile esbit stove is now even more versatile! i can now run it on wood, too. here's how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=difj5K4C7IU (that's not one of my cooking vids, but brace yourself - just in case... :lmao: )

    Are you ready?

i just googled "xenu". in a NUTshell: ...wow! it's the first time i hear that even the great pyramid predicts the end of the world in 2012 (probably the other egyptian pyramides were just errors: "s**t, that's wrong again... start over!"). joking aside, can you ellaborate on this?

    Coconut water carrier

i remember reading somewhere that you should place it on top of an anthill for a couple of days and let the little fellows do the job. never did it myself, though...

    bushcraft cooking... my way!

@crosslandkelly: thank you! @greensurfingbear: it's very difficult to show off boiling a pear :yelrotflm ! joking aside, i enjoy what i'm doing - otherwise i'd do something else.

    over 1 million youtube views!

thank you for your support! messages like yours keep me motivated to keep on posting new vids :). it's a "north field" - according to the label... or a knock-off, according to the price :) (20 euro, from the supermarket, 3 years ago). original product or not - it is quite decent (not so warm...

    bushcraft cooking... my way!

@camel: i don't eat much soup, but i'll post a soup vid as soon as we'll get some snow around here (late december, usually). @skaukraft: calm is what i search (and find!) out there. i guess i'm not the only one ;) ... @elen sentier: ahhh, tea&youtube... second best to tea outdoors :D !

    over 1 million youtube views!

thank you, guys! being aware of the misguided enthusiasm of some outdoors lovers (who happily propagate acrobatics&gossip-style bushcraft), it's a big surprise that my somehow plain vids are generating so much positive feedback. i think i must have found a way to hit a cord within the...

    bushcraft cooking... my way!

@gray: sharing is my pleasure... :) @camel: yep, wildlife is still thriving around here - up to the point where brown bears become a real problem in some areas.

    bushcraft cooking... my way!

long time no post... :) here are some more cooking-related vids: - fishing is great... but sometimes it's easier to forage for something different: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UY0PB4fBPbU - sweet chestnuts, anyone? :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X__bNhsbAKQ - winter is...

    discoveries

oh, but it could... actually splitting the atom only confirmed the theory. i don't wonder upon how we came to catch fish with a baited hook&line, but i do wonder why we don't use the same to catch birds... (at least i never heard about?)

    Knife making competition

i haven't been on the forum for a long time :( ... but i'm back! so, please count me in. i'll make my own blade; considering that lately i'm selling more and more of my knives (not much profit, though...), am i a pro? that's going to be a close race, judging by the knives finished so far...

    Ok....i couldn't resist......my second knife....

hehehe... told you so! :D very good job!

    whichkife?

it makes a lot of sense; my quality comment aimed at the "karesuando incident" from the original post. of course, the best way is to try different knives until you learn what suits you and then build it :D. but that's a long, costly path, that will end up costing way over the available...

My first knife....all done and polished. Never again!

the handle seems to be asymetrical... is there a reason for this? i'm curious about the back of the handle, in the left part there's an indentation that seems to lack on the right side... good polishing job! i like the liners, too. oh, i almost forgot :D: you got the bug - you'll make...

    whichkife?

get a custom knife... this way you will not have "surprises" from the quality pov. plus, it will be made to meet your exact requirements.
