I think there is a danger of getting bogged down with the assisted opening/ flick/ gravity knife thing. There are so many knives from big manufacturers that open one handed that I doubt they will come out to be flick knives. (But they may, the lock knife thing was perverse)
The big one, for me...
Looks like a well thought out kit for what you describe. I am sure you do but it's worth reminding people to carry a bottle of water on the underground. Incidents like this can stop the trains leaving passengers stuck underground.

Ventile leaks in torrential rain. So does Paramo or G1000. There are other reasons to choose them but being the most waterproof isn't one of them. The surplus Goretex and some others out there are soft faced and not noisy.
Just a few points Superglue was developed to repair gun sights not for medical purposes. It was then tried for medical purposes but found to be an irritant and exothermic so they developed Dermabond (2-octyl cyanoacrylate) which is for medical use. It's not strictly first aid, it is treatment...
He he from a similar source Adamanitium is biocompatible and much tougher than any of the above :)

A others have said it will be accurate, durable and versatile. If it was to be your last compass then a longer baseplate, magnifier, roamer and luminous indicators would make it more versatile.

I do like the look of the duo I do have a lighter 2 person tent but it is really cramped. This seems really roomy for the weight especially if you carry walking poles anyway. It has 2 entrances if the weather is good enough to leave the awning up and unlike the Solo has vents. I really really...
As a result of this thread I remembered making a survival kit and a "fountain pen" survival kit as a young boy. It was inspired by a book I was given back then which brought back fond memories. I couldn't find the book or remember the title but in a JR Hartley moment by the power of google and...
A risk based kit is pretty good. (Likelihood of needing it X Impact of condition) / weight. You are unlikely to need a tourniquet but the impact of a catastrophic bleed is so high that you may decide to carry one. Similarly lightweight tablets for minor ailments can also make it in.
NP = nasopharyngeal
Cots....finger thing? I guess so not heard that one before but I think it may mean Commercial off the shelf
Otc = Over the counter i.e. not RX or prescription only
Cat = Combat Application Tourniquet
