thats what I did to may last one when I noticed it starting to crack seems to have stoped it from further cracking...

thanks I will try it as tea then I did give it a go to see if it would take a spark but no go even made a fine powder still did not take a spark so tea it is....

I think at this point it should be pointed out that distillation may be what you need to setup for your kits if the water is of such poor quality...

I have used these key rings for something like that as they are quick detach I do use them on my pant belt loops to do basically the same thing just a thought for those that may want an alternative way of keeping things attached to themselves...

I know what you mean but here on the Wet Coast of Canada things have been nice for the last month just about froze to death 1st of june here was still a foot of snow at the 4600 foot level...
