I have one that looks like that but it's not a Singer!
The needle used is not the universal needle either. I have one installed on the machine when I got it and I cannot find replacement for it. It's slightly longer and very thin with the diameter of the needle being almost the same throughout...
Ya if you get a nicely handwritten snail mail, it's a real treat.
I don't use dip pen for much anymore, maybe an occasional scribble. It's difficult to buy the nib also.
Does anyone still use one of these? I don't use them as much as I would like to.
This one is solid brass grip with resin body and cap. The cap is great if you travel with the pen and also prove some protection to the nib when you are not using it.
A continuation of the idea. What do you think?
You can continue cooking non stop as long as you top up the fuel.
Here is a video I uploaded to youtube to show how it works.

Used a 1" tube rather then the 5/8" previously. 10% more fuel and manage to boil the 500ml water. Burn time about 28 minutes.
Just light the wick! No need to prime.
Do you have a photo?
This is the original intention. As a mini stove that fits in the pocket.
Burn time 26 minutes
Ambient temperature 24°C
Volume of water 500ml
Result: fail to bring the water to a boil!
But when the fire dies down, you can fill the top and the sudden cooling will suck the fuel into the tank...
Anything is possible. I have no set-up for anodising yet but have been wanting to start that. Not many options for finishing due to the heat.
This is the new one without screw tread. The wick inset will be press fit. The tube is stainless steel.
Thank you.
Working on one with a bottom opening. The existing models can be packed with cotton in the tank.
There are so many ideas in my head at the moment!
Took delivery of some viton o-rings today. They say it can handle temperature up to 280 degrees C. Will test them out.
thank you. The brass is a heavy one to carry around
:o We will see. Never know when some funny ideas will pop into my head.
