Another buckskin shirt, fallow & fox its longer and heavier and should suit the Autumn season ....now on with the breeks which are almost finished....its the hand sewing that eats away the time.

Thanks for the kind comments folks and Mary is right about the Orc fingers. I finished sewing a skin kayak a few weeks past and my hands are in need of a little TLC.

A variation based on Marys Bushshirt, I went for a light weight and shorter version and will soon finish another with thicker hides. This one is made from Roe and Fox.

Been rather busy over the last few months with many things but I managed to sew these up, now they just need lanyards.

New coracle frame awaiting cow hide, should be ready for June - I will be fishing from it using some of this kit...bring on the mac :)

Been rather busy with lots of things but the kayak frame is almost finished - a little trimming, sanding, oiling and steam bending the cockpit. The arched deckbeam was once an oak whiskey barrel stave - still smells of 12 year old.:) I will skin this up in June.

The frame is made up with larch, oak and pine.

Ribs in place and pegs in, stem boards and keelson to follow after minor adjustments to ribs :)

Deck almost complete - gunwale 'X' lashings in place, more bondage on the deck beams and then the masik :)

Finally moving forward with this project, gunwales cut to length and shaped with the mortices for the ribs and deck beams done. The final shape will be decided when the mid forms are put in place - lots to do. Pondering the final shape from the shed roof - bliss on a nice spring day :)
