Spot on, the clothing aspect of it is fine i pretty much have all that stuff from field sport activities, and i've got a tent for family camping stuff, so prob no point adding another tent when i can get a whole different experience whilst out alone, speed and ease are the main things i want...

Whats the deal with bivvis?? i take it ebay will have a load of goretex ones on?

I like the idea of basic really, tarp, hammock....easy up and easy down and move on, obviously i might change my view on this as i gain experience.

I'm doing the root skills course with bushcraft ventures as i'm up in the north east its not too far, i've got a kit list somewhere for that course, but ultimately i wanna have all the right gear for going out all year round, just wanting to have an idea where to get it so i can start buying it...
