    i use a victorinox recruit its perfect for small carvings. you will be able to use the farmer but will struggle on some finer cuts.

    i use a ben orford and a mora double edge with the right hand bevel ground off to make it a left hander as they dont make one

    The oven method works well if you have a limited amount of wax but you have to be careful. The first one i made was left in the oven to long and it came out looking like a big walnut.Thanks for posting again.

    Kent pattern conversion

    Thanks for the comments guys. Dont get me wrong i also like the kent pattern. I cut this one down to make it lighter for my son to use safely.
