    Airsofters, Advice Please.

That's a great looking smock. As a cyclist I'm very fond of rear pockets and have been wondering why you don't see many in the world of bushcraft.

Does anyone else buy stuff they don't really need?

No. I always really need it when I buy it. Now if the question was, "Does anyone else own stuff they don't really need?" Well... :-)

    Shemag, do you use it?

I've never considered using one as a towel, but I almost certainly have at some point done so. I mean I've never considered not packing the towel because I've packed the shemagh, if you get my drift. I use it for all sorts of things as mentioned above, although I'm rarely cold enough to need it...

    BCUK iPhone app

I've been thinking about the possibility of developing this app, using the power of something like Amazon's Mechanical Turk Service.

Green and yellow stripes! But if, as you say, black is blue and red is brown and green is green/yellow stripes, what is yellow and what is blue?

Okay here's a classic. You've got three lights in the loft. You're electrician was criminally insane and for some reason they are wired to buttons downstairs in the living room. You can't see the lights from the living room. You can click the buttons on and off as much as you like and leave...

Along those lines. I usually use a pub sign of "Frog & Parrot" and the sentence: "You've left too much space bettween Frog and & and & and Parrot." Cheekily splitting the Roland and Andrew to get 13 is stretching it a bit! *grins* I like it. Can't use it with the my circle of...

    Two Lowepro slingshot camera bags

These are great bags, I've owned both. The only reason I don't own them any more is because I keep moving upwards through the range as I buy more stuff! Currently on the 300!

On a numbers note. "Eleven plus two" is an anagram of "twelve plus one"

    bushcraft instructor

"Samuel Mudd is sometimes given as the origin of the phrase 'your name is mud', as in, for example, the 2007 film National Treasure: Book of Secrets. However, according to an online etymology dictionary, this phrase has its earliest known recorded instance in 1823, ten years before Mudd's birth...

    Should we eat wheat?

I'd be happy to never eat another El Santa strawberry in my whole life. Tasteless things. I had a go a the local supermarket the other day cos I only found one British apple among all those available, some worcesters. Everything else was Granny's, Galas and the usual imported stuff. That makes...

    Just a little friendly competition...

For me personally the best way would be with a string jig, but that's because I've got a string jig as I used to shoot target recurve. I'll try and grab a picture of one as it's here at work, it's a bit long to get in the frame though! I put a string on it for you. A modern string is...

    Just a little friendly competition...

Modern bowstring material would work best for the string, or do you want to stick to all natural foraged it yourself sources? A bowstring works best if it doesn't stretch at all when pulling the bow. With less stretch in the string more energy ends up being transferred to the arrow.
