Hi folks - been way, way too long! Hope all are well?
Anyway - having recently been prodded back into a bit of paracord nonsense I wondered if you guys could recommend a supplier of good quality / reasonably priced cord? Everyone I used to deal with seems to have disappeared!
Cheers

Hi Folks
For the last couple of months I've been infusing plums in brandy for a bit of festive tipple following pretty much the same process I've used for sloe gin and apple'n'blackberry brandy in the past. However someone has suggested that the fruit should have had the stone completely removed...
This will probably appear in a couple of places and for that I apologise but I really need informed opinion so . just acquired the pictured lump from a cherry tree a mate had felled what is the best way of conditioning it now to make the best of it?
Cheers

If this is in the wrong place please feel free etc.
"Its been resolved by my parents being sent the knife and they are responsible for it. Many bushcrafters teach children as young as 7 to use knives and I also believe it is important to distinguish the difference between a tool and a weapon...
Hi - Just wondering what the preferred method of matching scales is amongst you folk. Do you place them so the blade is in between what would have been a solid block, or flip them so that the pattern/grain is similar when viewed from either side (does that make sense)?
Also, to what level of...
Hi
I'm sure it must have been done but I've read/viewed a stack of handle making stuff and can't find it. When drilling scales for pins is it the norm to use a drill the same size as the pin, or oversize to allow for glue space?
thanks

Hi - as an aside to the current thread on acquiring stamps for leatherwork, what kind of image/quality is needed to produce a half-decent stamp? Also any opinions on what works best in terms of lines or solids? I have an image in mind/on file that I'd love to use but haven't the skill to tidy it...
Well the postie has just brought me a nice new folder from Heinnie - and very impressed I am for the money - but they included, as I'm sure someone could have warned me, a catalogue....oh dear, oh dear, oh dear :empty:
Hi Folks - I guess many will have seen this but for those that haven't and may be interested Field & Trek have the Karrimor Spike 25 backpack for £6 for this week. Click HERE
No affiliation or connection etc. ... :)
as above really....if I was interested in a decent blade but it was in my eyes ruined by the handle would it be difficult to replace the scales (as a novice)? Or probably the first question should be how hard to remove the existing ones without ruining it?
Cheers

Typically without camera or phone earlier, I came across a tree that at first looked like an elder but the berries (similarly distributed on the plant) whilst the same colour were much more robust, with a seed that almost filled the fruit. The other giveaway was that whilst all the other elders...
I, like most here I would think, spend a lot of my travelling time spotting this or that piece of land and thinking of it in terms of a place to camp. Is there an easy way to find out who owns any given piece of woodland/countryside with a view to gaining permission (without paying search fees...
Don't think this has been done - Theres a 20% Blacks voucher (plus a couple of other highlighted offers) at vouchercodes. if THIS doesn't take you there just search Blacks.

EDIT: Before I get told off again I have no connection to either vouchercodes or Blacks - just thought some of you...
