    Any men on TRT ?

And I'm with you on keeping up T levels to stay young. As a species we started to rapidly improve intelligence and Darwinian 'fitness' as we lived long enough to be grandparents. It turned out that teenage mothers and fathers weren't so good at raising kids, but once grandparents got involved...

    Any men on TRT ?

I recall seeing info on a precursor drug but don't remember the details - IIRC it kicks up the natural T production rather than replaces it.

    Any men on TRT ?

The problem with exogenous T is that your body responds by down-regulating T production so you may get stuck on it. Have you seen the stuff Tim Ferris did to raise T levels naturally...

    Veganism, Vegeterianism, Omnivorism

Doctors either follow the stuff they were taught (often out of date) or what the NHS publish. Fortunately they are generally intelligent and capable of reading the publications themselves if pointed to them. None of my doctor friends will take statins, yet they are forced to prescribe them...

    Veganism, Vegeterianism, Omnivorism

Absolutely no link between dietry cholesterol intake and blood cholesterol levels. Blood cholesterol is regulated by the liver. But even more important is that cholesterol is not the culprit it is the response.

    Veganism, Vegeterianism, Omnivorism

I note that Dr Campbell has already been called out for cherry picking his conclusions in the China Study, but here is another dissection of just how his claims are not supportable from the evidence - https://deniseminger.com/2010/08/06/final-china-study-response-html/ Her article on the vegan...

Show me your Percolator for the Fire and or stove

My mum had a percolator, looked more like https://amzn.to/2AnTrTp than that though - I've always thought of that as a wannabe espresso maker rather than a percolator. My understanding is that a percolator continually cycles the brew through the coffee grounds, making it stronger and stronger...

What IS the best bushcraft Jacket?

I still love my bushcraftUK ventile jacket, excellent design with much thought gone into the smaller details. Love that is is cut in the shoulders for reaching down rather than up, the big pockets can hold my Gransfors hatchet and folding saw and the drying material in the handwarmer pockets is ace.

    Handkerchief, Kerchief, Neckerchief ...

Oh me too. I'd move to Tokyo in a heart beat, fascinating culture and people. Up until last year I went three times a year, loved it. Drooled over the 20k katanas... the shop was 5 mins from our office. My team loved to take me out to the weirdest places - fish eyeballs, rare chicken, live...

    Handkerchief, Kerchief, Neckerchief ...

It's cotton. It's big for a pocket, but I don't mind. I managed to delete the last i in the name adding the URL - just fixed it! In times past, restaurants didn't provide napkins, people carried their own. It was also a tradition to wrap gifts in tenugui and to give visitors a tenugui when they...

    Handkerchief, Kerchief, Neckerchief ...

I like a tenugui - https://www.tofugu.com/japan/tenugui/ they are traditional Japanese hand towels, about 90cm by 35cm. I picked up a couple in Tokyo, my favourite is one that has a tatami pattern on it:

Planning to buy a sharpening system

I appreciate the skills that free hand sharpeners use, but I've never looked back after getting a wicked edge. The precision of the bevels is a joy to behold.
