Camping in Hammock and tarp ?

I would be interested to know the entire weight of a Tarp Tent/Hammock packed. Does anyone have a rough idea? Obviously it depends on materials used etc but is (can it be) a lot lighter than a lightweight backpacking tent?

Hi, The main uses for tree sap (that Im aware of) is in the production of man made glues. I guess you can adapt it natrually for anything along the lines of this with a little bit of testing. If you find any more uses let me know.. p.s It's difficult to remove off the surfaces of most things...

    Brita Water Filters

Honestly, I have found (and maybe its just me :-) ) you dont get round to changing them so they really in the end defeat the object they were designed for. After owning one for a couple of years I can conclude that I have no idea how much water they can filter so I guess I would be better with...

I guess it depends on how long your "lost" for... For instance I can get by for a few days with whats in my "Survival" tin... maybe longer... but after that only "Bushcraft" skills would keep me alive.
