    Bushcraft Etiquette (resurrected)

I have this older light, marked D.B. Ltd L.E. No 4, that I fitted a 4.5v led to and a AA battery pack instead of the flat 4.5v battery (can buy them, just fancied using the pack). It has two filters, red and green, works a treat.

Having a go at cider making....

We bottled the 4.5l jar this morning... almost 9 full bottles and a 3/4 full one.. the cider looks clear and tastes very good. This is a flat cider, certainly tastes fairly strong, very nice! We’ll put them somewhere cool and dark for a few months to see any maturation change.. very pleased with...

Having a go at cider making....

We tried one of the bottles of sparkling and it was dry, not too sharp, plenty of apple flavour.. we all liked it, certainly sparkling, so fingers crossed for the flat cider.

Having a go at cider making....

We’d checked the hydrometer reading and it was 1, so the cider was racked off into a new jar for clearing, this should be still cider and is starting to clear. I’d a smaller 2 litre plastic bottle as well, so we used some of that to try sparkling cider with secondary fermentation in a couple of...
