    Latest superfood?

Been teaching Scouts about this stuff for a few years now. Unfortunately haven't had the chance to get them harvesting it yet though as the group I work with aren't the best at exploring "new" ideas.

    Sand hoppers

Incredibly suicidal things sand hopper. I've seen them jump into a fire en masse. Very disconcerting for someone not used to seeing them too. I was taking a short beach stroll with a friend after dark, who hadn't encountered them before. There was a pattering noise and he wondered if it was...

    polish poncho tent questions

I had the same problem with one I bought for a friend for Christmas. A phone call to the retailer sorted it and I was sent replacement poles and returned the mismatched ones.

    heads up bedroll for £10

You lot owe me £40. :joke: Not only did I order one but a few other items on my wish list as well. I never would have looked if it hadn't been for this thread. :why: Oh well. If I didn't spend it now it would have been spent later on something totally unimportant like a newer car or food...

    Pattern 58 bottles - differences?

One thing I've learned is always make sure ads specifically say "Osprey" before ordering. The same can be said for any surplus gear labelled "NATO" or "style". It's an over used ploy to convince you that it's the genuine article. Also I believe the BCB bottles are Ospreys, though I could be...

    Moleskins

I get mine here http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/flcct5na.html They stand up well to hard use but are heavy and rather warm in hot weather. Mine still get used more than anything else I have.

Do you always wear your hat

I am rarely without the waxed cotton hat (the one in my avatar) that my dad brought me from Oz last year. Even if I don't have it for whatever reason, I always wear a hat outdoors whether it be a boonie hat or a simple cap, unless it's special occasion.

The dangers of not clearing your shed roof

Had the roof of my 20x10ft wooden shed cave in last year in the middle of the night. It was not fun I can tell you. Had to shovel at least a ton of snow out of it and rescue my tools etc. Fortunately there was only one casualty that couldn't be be repaired but the roof cost me and the insurance...

    *More* snow!

2ft and counting here. I was lucky to get out over the weekend after they finally cleared the road. If this keeps up, could be looking at another week snowed in.

    Snow makes you think

Would love to make some snow shoes or something, but I can't even get into my shed. If you're wondering how much snow we've got here. Well, this is my car at present.
