    Another idea might be a piece of sheet metal to stop the fire falling out when you open the door, just 2-3" high, does make cleaning out trickier though

Been using them for a year now, regurlary buy £100-200 in at a time for the freezer I just bought 4kg of ox heart (for my jerky making), £5/kg and absolutely lovely flash fried...

    cool, how difficult is it? probably be easier to form hot but then you've got a load of clean up to do, so might be even stevens time-wise.

    (Re)Dyeing after oiling

    i've given two belts, two or so coats of fiebings pro oil dye and then, thinking it was fine, i've given them 3 coats of neat's foot oil. however on closed inspection, in better light, i can see they're a bit pale in some areas. can i successfully add further coats of dye, or is it too late?

    the blades i got from leprevo have gone through 3 layers of 3.5mm veg tan without any attention spent on them
