How do all,
thinking about heading to loch katrine early-mid november. Was hoping one of you guys knew if there was decent parking (for a couple of days)? Im looking at plonking the car at Stronachlachar - anyone know whether this'll be fine?
Thanks a lot,
Dan.

Hi all,
Im wanting to experiment with chutney, can anyone recommend a good chutney base for me (ie. the amounts of sugar, vinegar, apples, onion...etc), before i start adding other ingredients and flavours?
Thanks, :)
Dan.

ANY ideas on its' ID would be greatly appreciated!!

ive been looking into awi's. But one thing i havnt found is why?..
e.g. wood sorrel is an awi, but why?
does it have something to do with the way they grow, how long they take to grow/propigate etc?
much appreciated,
Dan.
I learnt to use an axe on a nicely sawn chopping block, be it either waste height, or ankle height (for kneeling).
My question is; what should I use as a 'bearing block' to chop against out and about. As I am yet to find any conveniently fallen trees with a brilliant 90o angle to cut against...
Hi all, went for a walk around some woods yesterday; heres some things I seen:
(I dont know what most of them are called, so feel free to ID any of them...:))
1. Cuckoo Pint/Arum/Lords and Ladies
2. Dont know this one...
3.Looking up the river, which was quite shallow!

Hi all, I made one net:
And I feel ive caught the net making bug.
But I'm curious about the history of nets and net making; can anyone give me any info, or point me in the direction of interesting reads?
Or any uses for them other than the norm like purse nets, fishing nets...
Hi all, some time in the near(ish) future I realy want to build my own cedar strip canoe. I have never done anything like this before, I'm a complete novice, but this project has realy captured my imagination!
So, could any of you offer some advice?
Major do's and don'ts...
I'm thinking of...
Found a few tracks when I ventured 'off the beaten track' round a forest recently. I have narrowed the culprits down, but I'm holding my breath until I see what you guys think.
1..(no 'official' scale, but you can probably see that it's quite small by looking at the blades of grass...
Hi, I'm finding it difficult to identify members of the Carrot family.
Could anyone give me some advice/help on this family please.
But to start off, whats this?..
It's beginning to grow to almost a metre, and as you may see it is covered in small hairs...
Thanks for...
