    My new wood stove.

I was out and about last weekend, down at one of the shopping malls in Saudi Arabia, where I currently live/work. While I was in Saco World (a bit like B&Q) I was wandering around the BBQ section. It’s starting to cool down a bit, so it’ll be BBQ season soon. Anyway I spotted an interesting...

    Sold Pathfinder canteen

I'm gauging some interest here. I've got a Pathfinder S/S canteen set and MOLLE pouch that is surplus to requirements. I upgraded to the Ti version, so the stainless one is just sitting in a box. Does anyone want to take it off my hands at the Moot? I'm flying back to the UK for it in a couple...

    USAF Survival Knife.

I’ve had a hankering for one of these knives for about 35 years, ever since I saw one advertised in the old Survival Aids catalogue. I suspect that quite a few of us who are of a certain age will look back with fond memories of that publication… Anyway, since I’m back in the uk at the moment...

    Leg stuck out, thumb extended!

I’m throwing myself on the mercy of the mob. It’s the first time I’ve been in the UK when the Moot is on in about 6 years. I’ll be getting the train down to the Moot on Friday. Any chance of someone picking me up at the station and giving me a lift into the moot via Tesco. Save me carrying...

    Survive That!

I found an interesting program on Discovery a few weeks ago. Survive That! The basic premise is that there is a group of survival experts. they take it in turn to be kidnapped by the others and dumped with no warning in an unfamiliar envieoment, then have 100hrs to get themselves out. They are...

    Spyderco Bushcrafter sheath by Luckylee

Last year I picked up a Spyderco Bushcrafter 2nd. It's a great knife, but let down by the sheath, which I don't like. So to that end, I contacted Luckylee of this parish for a spot of custom leather. After a few messages back and forth to iron out the exact details of what I wanted, I sent...

    Bushmoot travel

I know it's a bit early, but I though I'd gauge interest. I'm planning to go to the Moot this year after missing last year. Would anyone be interested in splitting the cost of hiring a minibus to take from Scotland down to the Moot and back? I've priced up a train ticket at over £160 :yikes...

    I love charity shops

On a Saturday I like to have a wander around the local charity shops. I get the occasional cracking bargain. For example, in Oxfam in Broughty ferry I found a Dutch Oven for £3.50. Well today I found an almost complete Trangia 27 for £5 All that's missing is the actual burner unit. bonus.
