Any Mackeral on the mid/north Wales coast ?

We returned home from Anglesey (Benllech) last Sunday and had no more than half a dozen between us during our two week stay. Lots of whiting and dogfish caught about 200 yards out from Point Lynas lighthouse, but very little else. My guess is that its going to be at least another month before...

Couldn't agree more.....a truly awesome place like no other to visit. The wife and I have visited Yosemite three times in the last 10 years and will no doubt be doing the same again next year when we visit my brother-in-law again in San Jose. We were last there two years ago, which included a...

    Vango Banshee 300......heads up!

For anyone in the market for a backpacking tent, Field and Trek have the Vango Banshee 300 on sale at the minute for £98.00. So, I called at my local Go Outdoors and asked them to price match, which they were glad to do minus a further 10%. Walked away with my new purchase for £88.20 AL

    Erbswurst (dehydrated soup from germany)

Think those may be cup-a-soup. I've always wondered why Knorr stopped doing 'Thick Lincoln Pea'. That was one of the only dehydrated soups I ate, and judging by the speed it left the shelves in our local supermarkets, looked to be a very good seller. Haven't seen it for years now though. AL

    any ferret keppers

I've bred working ferrets almost all my life. As long as they are well bred, well reared, constantly handled and you know what to expect from them, they make fantastic pets and will generally get along just fine with a dog....although I'd still keep an eye on them, just incase! Unfortunately...

    Snugpak Expander?

Thanks for the info. I had been under the impression that additional "Expanda" panels were available for all Snugpak bags, but I have now learnt that this is not the case with the Elite range. After speaking with Snugpak, it appears that the advertised chest width (165cm with stretch) of the...

    Snugpak Expander?

Hi, I've been looking for a decent sleeping bag for a while now, but being quite wide (52" chest) means that I just can't zip the average 80cm bags up. Could anyone please tell me by how much the Snugpak Expander panel extends the chest width of their bags? I've looked online and there seems...
