    As worn as a bandana they don't just keep your head warm they get bugs and stuff getting in your hair. Also ladies would traditionally tie their hair up to stop it getting blown about when doing some kind of activity. I wear one when forging most of the time to keep the black stuff out of my hair.

    No. Made with carbon spring steel, mild does not throw good sparks.

    Yeah the tips were quenched, not sure about the steel though, rebar is very unreliable as a steel when it comes to its carbon content and I am not convinced that it hardened too well. A known steel would be much more predicable. Somthing tells me this thing would be very good for making birch...

    Waxing a hat

    Soon winter and rain will be upon us and I have invested in a 2nd hand wax hat with a wide brim. I was thinking of re waxing it but I don't want to go and buy a whole new tin of Barbours wax or similar is there a cheaper way of doing it? Cheers
