    What did you buy today?

Yay, now you've got something to poke with your stick :) It’s good to read your mad posts these days, I’ve been here a while and I remember a slightly lost Tengu a while back, you’ve done well.

Heads up - VAT and fees on second hand tools from Republic of Ireland

Annoying. Years ago I remember discovering how much cheaper it was to buy knives from US websites. Until HMRC got hold of them and either hammered the tax on, or knives like the Spyderco Poliwog were deemed gravity knives and binned at customs. Good call though Chris, and doubly unfair as the...

For Sale Henry Torres Stag Hunter

No offence mate, but this lady isn't interested in knives or comment, she has the difficult job of valuing and selling her husbands collection. She’ll see your comment and have to investigate in case it’s a sale. Perhaps a mod can clear both mine and just_john posts?

    What did you forage today?

Apologies, I was indeed ripping the proverbial.

    What did you buy today?

Very nice, especially if you squeeze it tight. ;) TBH, it’s a 3 finger grip made very secure by the rough knurling which apparently can be used as a wood file. Feels scalpel-like in use. Whatever any reviews say to the contrary, there is a slight secondary bevel, at least there is on mine. It’s...

    What did you buy today?

Also, a Logitech Combo Touch keyboard case for the iPad. I had an ESR one on there but it can’t be split easily into 2 like this Logitech. With this I can use the iPad in the traditional way sitting on the sofa, but for extended periods of use, emailing etc.it makes a huge difference to my back...

A New Knife For My Foraging Adventures

Fair enough. To be honest I shouldn’t really be linking to my sales thread in your post, and I’m in no great rush to part with it. Another nod to Stu’s work seemed appropriate though, and this one has a bit of history. The Secare was quite a thing, solid and pleasing.

    What did you forage today?

Sycamore peas are lovely, and well worth the effort of digging several feet down for. Stand with the tree at your back and walk 10-15 paces in a straight line, and then dig. Have a basket ready, when you find one, you’ll find loads! :whistling:

    water bottles and water

Two glow in the dark 1L wide mouth Nalgene, one with a Humangear lid to make it better for drinking out of. One clear wide mouth for a pee if I’m in a tent or hammock. The Humangear lid is something I’d recommend to anyone who drinks from the bottle. It’s mightily annoying taking a swig when in...

    What did you buy today?

It’ll be a short term impulse purchase if I don’t stop looking at it. :nailbiting:

For Sale CountyComm Boker TechTool Ultra Glow

A rarity, not sure how many were on the production run but I think it was 600. Box is long gone due to a move. I looked back and paid about £50 for this and would like that for it, which includes PayPal and postage. Pics have come out in a weird order. Here’s a review...

Lovely to see a bit of Sheffield history in Tennessee. Stu make a fine knife indeed.

My reason for being on Bushcraft - my late husband's extensive knife collection - my position

First, I’m ever so sorry you lost your husband, I’m just in the process of sifting through my wife’s stuff and it’s heartbreaking. There’s a member here who I know and trust called @Stew who I think isn’t miles away from you. I’m not sure how doable it is, but he knows his knives and could...
