Article: Whitby & Co: Hand Warmer

I can't speak for the Whitby handwarmers, but they do resemble the Peacocks closely and they are very reliable. I actually phoned the the guy that sells them when I had a similar problem. He told me simply to hold the handwarmer upside down while lighting it. Works a treat! Also, you may need a...

Article: Whitby & Co: Hand Warmer

My wife uses a couple of Peacock handwarmers of similar design to the review product for our night-time/winter sea angling sessions. They've been on the go for a good 6 years and work as well today as they did when new. I note that the Peacocks currently sell for £25.95 + £2.95 p&p, so if the...

    Swiss Army Volcano Cooker

I'm a bit confused by this. Have any of these cookers been delivered? I still don't have either a cooker or a refund, so I'd be grateful if anyone can clarify the current position.

    Swiss Army Volcano Cooker

I'm astonished to discover that only 4 out of a list of 15 people paid their deposit. It's a poor response considering the trouble Chris G has taken to get the ball rolling. As one of the 4 who paid a deposit, I can't really see how this group buy can go ahead given the lack of support.

    Fish trap? keep net?

Looks like a kind of prawn trap. Does it open up any? It looks as if there's a wire loop at the base.

    Unidentified Bones

Aye, good shout Toddy! Not a dolphin, I don't think, as it there seems to be a hip bone present. There's loads of dolphins around the Angus coastline mind you, but it could certainly be a seal - the length would be about right.

    Coastal camp April

Hi lads! A quick suggestion for you if you're quick! If you get down to your local Lidl's, you might be lucky enough to pick up a cheap telescopic rod/fixed-spool reel for your adventures! They might not be top quality, but the gear is so cheap it could almost be viewed as "single-use". There...

    Hello World!

Just a quick hello from a new member. I'm a bit rusty on bushcraft as my scouting days are almost a distant memory lol! So I think I'll be doing more reading than contributing for the present, but I hope that will change!
