    yeah cheers guy, larch is the wood i was looking for as it meant to be the best for this country lovely wet weather. Ive got both Dick Proennekes books and videos, he is the main reason i got the idea of building a cabin.

    i am up and ready to go. its not near any footpaths really on "right to roam" moor land and the edge of forestry, if anyone knows it its up above Corwen on the Berwyn moors.

    is my Gransfors Hatchet. to least say i am rather annoyed, i did try and retrace my steps but the light gave up and as did i. i had it on my belt it must of just slipped off somewhere and i didn't notice, i hope it didn't drop into any streams i crossed or bogs.
