I'm looking for a wine skin

http://www.laboteria.es/ All in spanish of course, but you can email email them in english and see if they reply in english. They make them. No customs (EU) and postage wouldn't be too terrifying. I'm googling on "bota vino site:es" - you'll find lots of other sites as well. I just chose...

    Polar Pure Water Purifier

I'd be much, much more interested in getting PUR water purifer: http://www.vtarmynavy.com/pur-clean-drinking-water-kit.htm It does not use iodine, but is chlorine based and provides a total solution - giving you drinking tap quality water from sludge - so to speak. It's given to...

    Page headings - wonderful - but where's "bushcraftUK.com"

Proof of how good the site is, the tediousness of my suggestion for an improvement. Unlike some websites, the page headings are correct. I like to bookmark good threads and good posts. This produces a bookmark with the title of the thread. This is good - there are websites who title their...

    Tea Leaf or Tea Bag?

Try using the tea in the tea bag without the bags - you'll wonder what was all the fuss about the bags. The japanese make a green tea which is just ground tea. I now do it. You save on the space used up by the bags. Just put whatever amount you want directly into the cup - or pot if you...

    Boot care

Finish off with a hot teaspoon - that's what my Grandad told me - and his shoes lasted him 40 years or more (apart from resoling, of course).

Moccasins and the whole barefoot running/hiking question

Mine arrived today and so I went out in them ;) They are great - think of them as gloves for the feet, so light and one really feels so earthed. Anyone looked? NO! Apart from my optician who I visited, but only because he had to bend down to get something out of a drawer and so he saw my...

    if you were allowed

Drew, the hammock does help a bad back. The first time I ever used a hammock was in fact in the physio dept of a very good hospital in Berlin. I went into hospital for something else but while I was there. may be due to the lack of exercise, hospital beds or whatever, I got a terrible back...

    On foot through the Odenwald

oetzi - great pictures and a beautiful tour:) How much did the overnight stays cost on average for a simple b&b? Could you have slept in the woods with a bivi, say, because you felt simply toooo tired to continue to the next village <cough, cough, glances over shoulder>? (Ja, ja, ich weiss daß...

Snugpak Special Forces Bivvi - anybody know its size?

Thanks Stuart. That means it's only 5cm (170÷2=85) wider. It was the width that was important and that's still too narrow. Thanks again.

Snugpak Special Forces Bivvi - anybody know its size?

I've been looking all over the web but can't find out the Snugpak Special Forces Bivvi size. They say is its larger than the normal bivi - but they don't say how much larger it is. It's the width which is important. The normal 80cm width is too narrow for me and hopeless if you want to...

    Be careful!

Absolutely right. Plead guilty, then there's no real trial. You haven't even given the magistrate the chance to throw the case out! He has to give you a criminal record and some sort of punishment even if he or she thinks the charge is absurd.
