    Hi Vyvsdad,

    I do dabble with natural cordage but I am very much a beginner. Thanks for the tip, I'll have a look on the thread. My wife has a drop spindle so I may ask her view as well.

    I assume from your name that you make string. I have another thread going on this forum about using a drop spindle to make twine from nettles, and I thought you might have some ideas or input.
