im after a kettle suitable for over the fire so no plastic grips etc, possibly something traditional looking idealy about 1.5 litres.

I have a mini trangia kettle and i love it. Has taken so much abuse over the years and is still going strong, and its light and compact.
I have one of these, they are pretty good. A Ronseal job.
I don't just want one of those, I NEED one of those!
Are they available in the UK? I'm guessing they're not exactly cheap.
What's the capacity?
I'm sure I got mine in Blacks. Came with a nice little drawstring bag too. I think it was Outwell, but not certain. Blacks don't seem to have it on their website.

Capacity 1.5 litre and price about £20, or £32 posted from Norway. From http://www.techthor.com/lamp/shopexd.asp?id=233 if you can navigate the site in Norwegian. I couldn't find these in the UK.

I got the outwell one in the Christmas Brantub last year
dosnt look like they do them any more think there was a GB on here for them a while back
MSR do a similer one a bit smaller and a lot more money

I've got various kettle but the bigger 1.4 litre Trangia kettle fits your needs. Bigger than the standard Trangia kettles its very wide top opening means it can easily double as a cooking pot.
