Well decided not to go to derwent due to the thick frost in the garden so went wast water instead. Although there was a bit of ice on the edges thelake was like a mill pond with stunning reflections of the fells. Not really that bushcrafty but the weather was too good to put up the tarp:) Just wait till the fishing season starts.... Saw a nice wood that looks like its above the intake wall when we were out so will have to have a look with a view to wild camp. Hope you like the pics.
Getting ready...

Whilst down at the top (or bottom) we saw a plane fly low over head and then land on the lake.....I alwawas for "non powered" craft I wonder what the NT would make of this..:D:D
Itwas a cracking sight mind and the kids were amazed.. nice fellas too. Just wondering if this could be the next bushcraft tool?????? (try explaining that to the wife!!:nono:)

I love that place I go there every year with my dad and spend a few days on the National Trust site and usually one night of that is spent on top of Middle Fell.

Have you tried Photobucket for your image hosting I have never had a problem using that.

Nice pics.

I suppose with a plane like that, you could pretend you're in the Canadian wilderness;)

Thats just what we thought....On a day like that you could be anywhere.

Rich the canoes a SP3. Its our first canadian and we love it. Its built like a tank which has its pros and cone (lugging it to the car is definately a con!!).

Great pics mate! You did right not coming to derwent water, very bad weather. Wast water is the best, I love it when the sky is moody!
