Hi You Guys,
Earlier today on my travels i saw a homeowner trimming his garden of Buddleia shrubs. Some of the pieces are about 70mm in diameter.
To me the trunks look similar to elder (with the centre pith)
Anyway it seemed a shame to see it go to waste and he said i could take what i liked so i was wondering if anyone had used this timber for any projects at all? (I haven't actually collected it yet in case I couldn't use it)

If you can get a straight piece, 3/8" to 1/2" dia about 2 feet long - it might make a passable hand-drill spindle when dry!

If there are any thin live sprigs take a few cuttings to grow on and plant in your garden it acts like a magnet to butterflies, hover flies etc. They will sort out your aphids :)
