Will an Exped DownMat fit in a thermarest chair support?
I'm thinking of getting a Thermarest chair support for my acheing old back, make it a bit easier sitting about at night

Hi Richard, i don't know about the exped, but i struggle to put a thermarest(5cm thick one)in mine. I use mine without the mat in it, the chair is supportive, but you will get a numb bum !.

I seem to remember seeing on the Exped website that they do their own chair support for their mats - one of those would probably bee more suitable?

I can confirm that an Exped 7cm thick mat will fit in a Therm-a-Rest chair kit. You willl have to deflate the mat a little before you can fold it to a sitting position though. The Neo-Air also works but needs partially deflating similarly.
