Does anybody know what this plant is ? and its seed pods ????

id say they were protein beans used for cattle feed, and i know alot of feilds round me are full of them at the minute ..could be wrong though!

It looks a lot like a peony rose, possibly a tree peony, Lab72. When were the photos taken? I think it might be early for pods that size.

The photo was taken in the pub garden it was there last year but no pods

My ex's dad planted it for me but failed to tell me what it was - which was the 'norm' for him
