Or, become a full member and you can upload files directly into your post :)

Still need to click to enlarge.

I like pics well displayed and use Postimage. No account or login needed unless you want to. Google Postimage and allow it to access your pics. It’s ridiculously easy to host full size pictures.

No you don't! You have a choice of uploading as a thumbnail or the full file. Unless you're saying that the photo below is too small?

It's small if you're not logged in. A pet hate of mine when you land on a post on a forum from a search engine and you either can't see the photos at all or only see a small thumbnail unless you register.

Anyone know of a way of paying membership without the reoccurring paypal payment?

I’m generally logged in, but a lot of pics show small, with file links. Broch’s pic shows as medium size, not thumbnail. Most of the pics I see posted via the forum software have to be clicked to enlarge, so are nothing more than links with a hint at the pic. Depending on my interest, and internet speed, I often don’t bother to open them individually.

Ahhh Rich, that picture of that Canadian is just pure temptation, yet so far out of reach....

Anyway to get back on to topic, here is an example of a tap talk image, medium sized...my version of a canadian in hss steel that is a devil to drill !!!

For the metals that you drill, what are the drill bit tip angles?
My machinist's handbook lists 5 with good reason.
I am not a maker, so everything is for fun, presents or to relax. My current drill bits do not touch this stuff, so use a diamond ball bit (a number of them), and slowly cut away, using plusgas oil to aid cooling.

If drilling metal, that can be drilled, I use the shallowest angle possible, I cannot remember what it is off the top of my head, but almost flat, to get the greatest surface contact area.

Sounds like you have a project....

Still a newbie here, and to photography in general, but I found Flickr works well just to link to once you've got the link from the share option on your piccie. Has some nice info about camera set up as well if you are learning like me.

Completely OT, but it’s often easier to anneal the blade, do the work, then harden it again. Or it may be possible to spot anneal where you want to drill with a blowtorch. Grinding the blade is going to be slow because you’ll need to keep it cool.

Otherwise, try a carbide bit maybe?

I was thinking about getting a carbide bit, but had a few diamond bits from the last hss project a few years ago, when I made an insane bushcraft blade
this blade could cut, shame it cannot be found.
