Billhook for bamboo

currently staying in Spain with a woman who is a lesson to us all in living cheap,y but very well. Thats a different story tho !
We are doing some work with bamboo for her, two tools in her shed for this, a machete about 14 inch blade and a billhook, just like one would find in the UK for hedging, and its easily the better of the two tools for cutting and cleaning bamboo. The convergent evolution of peasant tools !
Cannot find any makers names on either. Interesting though, or at least I thought so.

Bamboo is a wonderful resource. Do you plan to do something with it?

I take it it is the sort that is 1-2 cm across?

Yup, thats the stuff, we have been repairing storm damage to a shed a and replacing a fence that was destroyed by high winds. Will try to post some pics.
Top shot wall half repaired, middle before we started fixing. We mostly re used old bamboo but cut some new too.
